O encontro virtual do Programa de extensão Teatro em Comunidades com estudantes da Grécia, mesmo em outras qualidades de presença, foi um espaço de criação de muitos sentidos e leituras acerca do momento atual. Aqui ou na Grécia, o isolamento nos é comum. O tempo para o respiro, aqui ou lá, mostrou-se nesse encontro como oportunidade de remexer memórias e perceber o tanto que elas nos permitem viver o isolamento social criando sentidos mais confortáveis diante das (im)possibilidades impostas. Gregos e brasileiros apresentaram seus objetos, recorrentemente lembranças de memórias vividas em tempos anteriores à quarentena. Objetos que remetem a um passado! Ao vivido! Coisas que possibilitam esperançar um futuro em que vamos poder “fazer tudo outra vez”. Foi antes de qualquer coisa, uma oportunidade de esperançar! De dizermos juntos que estamos em vida e fazendo o necessário para brevemente voltarmos a viver os abraços.
The virtual meeting of the Theater in Communities extension program with students from Greece, even in other qualities of presence, was a space for the creation of many meanings and readings about the current moment. Here or in Greece, isolation is common to us. The time for breathing, here or there, was shown in this meeting as an opportunity to rummage through memories and realize how much they allow us to experience social isolation by creating more comfortable senses in the face of the (im) possibilities imposed. Greeks and Brazilians presented their objects, recurring memories of memories lived in times before the quarantine. Objects that refer to the past! To the lived! Things that make it possible to hope for a future in which we can “do it all over again”. It was first of all, an opportunity to hope! To say together that we are alive and doing what is necessary to briefly return to embrace.

O encontro com as colegas gregas foi uma experiência muito interessante. Pude perceber que temos mais coisas que nos aproximam do que nos diferem: nos divertimos nos mesmos jogos, compartilhamos histórias que se parecem, falamos de nossos afetos e saudades na pandemia, e acreditamos juntas no teatro e na educação. Legal perceber que existe “gente como a gente” pelo mundo todo. Também amei a experimentação dos jogos e criação online. Para mim, foi uma experiência que deu ânimo para pensar propostas para as turmas que damos aula no Teatro em Comunidade, agora de maneira online. Então, nesse sentido acho que colhemos frutos concretos destes encontros por aqui. The meeting with the Greek colleagues was a very interesting experience. I could see that we have more things that bring us closer than we differ: we have fun in the same games, we share similar stories, we talk about our affections and homesickness in the pandemic, and we believe together in theater and education. Nice to realize that there are “people like us” all over the world. I also loved experimenting with games and creating online. For me, it was an experience that encouraged me to think about proposals for the classes we teach at Teatro em Comunidades, now online. So, in that sense, I think we reaped concrete fruits from these meetings here.

Tive a oportunidade de vivenciar uma experiência incrível, o encontro com os Gregos (estudantes e professores da universidade de Atenas, na qual fazem parte do departamento de educação infantil). Tivemos uma troca magnífica. Falamos sobre o trabalho deles, o programa de teatro em comunidade, UNIRIO… E também rolou brincadeiras/dinâmicas. Uma troca sensacional, de locais diferentes e mesmo assim a sensação de ser tão próximo. Poder ouvir e expor a sua arte para outros artistas é um momento de fala muito especial, reconhecer e se fazer por reconhecido todo esse trabalho que por mtuitas das vezes árduo, mas significativo e gratificante.
Pessoas sensacionais, experiências mútuas, ideias riquíssimas. Em meio ao que estamos vivendo mundialmente no momento, esse tipo de interatividade é algo que além de nos distrair, nos faz evoluir em vários fatores. A arte é resistência, a arte é preciso!
I had the opportunity to live an incredible experience, the encounter with the Greeks (students and professor from the university of Athens, in which they are part of the department of early childhood education). We had a magnificent exchange. We talked about their work, the community theater program, UNIRIO … And there were also games / dynamics. A sensational exchange, from different places and yet the feeling of being so close. Being able to listen and expose your art to other artists is a very special moment of speech, recognizing and acknowledging all that work, which is often hard, but meaningful and rewarding. Sensational people, mutual experiences, rich ideas. In the midst of what we are currently experiencing worldwide, this type of interactivity is something that in addition to distracting us, makes us evolve in several factors. Em tempos estes que vivenciamos a pandemia do covid -19, estamos em quarentena, em virtude do perigo que nos assola, o encontro com as estudantes gregas me fez refletir nas possibilidades de troca da ampliação de conhecimentos, que mesmo através de vídeo chamada, consegui compreender com a prática de atividades, compartilhamos um pouco de nossas histórias de vida através de objetos pessoais na sua individualidade, momentos de descontração, troca, fazendo um respiro pedagógico necessário quando possível em momentos incertos para um posterior equilíbrio.
Ressaltando as fronteiras rompidas através da vídeo chamada, nos proporcionou um novo laço de amizade, escuta, afeto e compartilhamento de ideias.
In these times that we experience the pandemic of the covid -19, we are in quarantine, due to the danger that plagues us, the meeting with the Greek students made me reflect on the possibilities of exchange of the expansion of knowledge. Even through video call, I managed understand with the practice of activities, we share a little of our life stories through personal objects in their individuality, moments of relaxation, exchange, making a necessary pedagogical breath when possible in uncertain moments for a later balance. Highlighting the broken borders through video calling, it provided us with a new bond of friendship, listening, affection and sharing of ideas.

Expression through art, bridges the differences of people
I would like to warmly thank our beloved teacher for the unique and at the same time special experience she offered us. She gave us the opportunity to get in touch with students from another country, to get to know each other, to communicate, to play, to exchange ideas, experiences, memories. At the same time, I would like to thank the respective teachers from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro for the warm welcome they reserved for us and for the creative meetings we shared.

The experience of our last meeting was very important to me because for the first time in months I felt something different than fear and agony for the future. It made me feel hope, joy and freedom because through our meting it was possible to connect and communicate with other people. I believe that we managed to overcome the distance between us, escape from the scary reality we all face these days and create something beautiful and unique that personally I will remember for a long time. I hope and wish for all of us that in the difficult times in our lives we will find ways to escape and connect with others. Thank you for making this beautiful escape possible.
A experiência do nosso último encontro foi muito importante para mim porque, pela primeira vez em meses, senti algo diferente de medo e agonia pelo futuro. I am glad that I took part in the meeting. It gave me so many memories like the conversation, the ideas, the feelings and the games that we play. Also I learn some things about another country, the problems that they face, how they spent their day, where they live and I hope they learn from us too. I’ve participated again in an activity including objects, but this time it was completely different. This time not only did I have the need to share my feelings and experience for the given object but I also had the need to hear what others had to share, Greeks and Brazilians. Both the objects and the conversations made me realize how much in common we have. But the strongest point that we commonly have is the need for human contact and freedom.
Eu participei novamente de uma atividade incluindo objetos, mas desta vez foi completamente diferente. Dessa vez, não só tive a necessidade de compartilhar meus sentimentos e experiências para o objeto em questão, mas também ouvi o que os outros tinham a compartilhar, gregos e brasileiros. Tanto os objetos quanto as conversas me fizeram perceber o quanto temos em comum. Mas o ponto mais forte que geralmente temos é a necessidade de contato e liberdade humanos.
